Dog Friendly Lodging Vermont – Looking for dog friendly hotels in New England? I hate leaving my dog Roscoe at home when I travel. After all, the holiday is better when you bring your best friend. But finding a dog-friendly hotel in New England takes a lot of research. What is the hotel’s dog policy? Are there additional costs? Weight gain or birth control? And you worry that you’ll have to sacrifice your privacy to spend time with your dog. Are motels and roadside campsites the only options for “work”? Are there any shelters that allow not only dogs but also dogs and their owners?
I’m here to save you time and effort in planning your dog vacation. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite dog-friendly hotels in New England that I’ve stayed at in Roscoe. Dog Friendly Lodging Vermont
Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, Basin Harbor believes that no family vacation is complete without a four-legged member of the family. Their pet policy allows dogs of all sizes to stay in the apartments for a daily pet fee of $20. To book online, you can choose one of the houses and then add the cost of the animals during the check.
Dog Friendly Glamping Resorts For 2021 Vacations
This home has everything you need for the perfect vacation without leaving 700 acres. From land to lake, choose from a variety of fun activities for the whole family. The pool and guest beach are pet-free, but there is a dog-friendly swimming area, Fanny’s Beach. We rented a boat to go out on the lake with Roscoe! In addition, you can dine in one of the five restaurants on board. Dogs are not allowed in the kitchen, but are welcome to dine with you on the Red Mill’s outdoor seating. Dog walking and boarding services are also available if you want some fun without Fido.

Field Guide Lodge in Stowe is a beautiful hotel managed by Lark Hotels. Like most properties, their pet policy provides an additional $50 per dog per day for dogs under 70 pounds. We stayed in one of their three dog-friendly cabins, which are beautifully located with an outside entrance. You can order these kits online, just add your dog’s size, weight and name when checking. Dogs should not be left alone in the living room. Out of respect for other guests, dogs are allowed on the hotel porches and outside.
This hotel is distinguished by the style of a luxury home. Furnished with retro wood stoves and cozy slippers, the living room invites you to curl up with a book or a board game. You can enjoy breakfast in the café or drinks and small snacks in the new Après Only bar. You have to book the outdoor hot tub in advance, which is a little better. But the advantage is that you keep it to yourself. And the location can’t be beat. We could walk into town and the mountain bike park was right in front of the hotel. The perfect home base for you and your kids’ Vermont adventures.
Stretching The Limits Of ‘pet Friendly’
The Inn at Mountain View Farm is a unique place to stay in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Per their pet policy, dogs are allowed in select rooms: Peacham, Danville, N. Danville, Maidstone and Lost Nation for an additional $50 per night. You can choose the “design” option to book your room online. The hotel is very pet friendly, thanks to the friendly golden staff at reception and there is an animal sanctuary on site. Find out if your dog is active around other animals!
We stayed in the homely yet comfortable Deluxe Peacham room. Roscoe loved sleeping in front of a roaring fire. In the morning we were greeted with hot coffee and coffee from the oven in the hotel’s great hall. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more, the innkeeper brought out a pile of his famous pancakes and brought out fresh blue cheese. we couldn’t stop him.
Perched 400 acres above the ridge line in the northeast of the kingdom, this historic farm is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever lived. Morning fog covered the mountains and valleys.
The Kimpton Taconic Hotel in Manchester has one of the best pet policies I’ve seen. When you enter the elevator, everything from down to wool is welcome! There are no restrictions on size, weight, breed or number of pets, and there are no additional fees or charges. Simply expect a pet when booking online and fill out the pet form at check-in.
Dog Friendly Ski Lodges
The Kimpton Taconic is the perfect place to pamper your pooch. The rooms include food bowls, toys, treats and an Orvis dog bed. (The huge Orvis store across the street is worth a visit with your dog). Dogs are allowed in the lobby and in front of the hotel’s Copper Grouse restaurant. There is an outdoor heater to keep you and your kids warm during the colder months. In addition, you can request pet services, including pet sitting, dog walking and pet spa services.
The Made Inn Vermont in downtown Burlington is a home away from home for you and your pet. This charming downtown bed and breakfast has a pet policy that welcomes furry friends for $25 a day. You can book directly online, just add your dog to the number of guests and note the information in the notes.
We stayed in room 904, one of the larger rooms offered for larger dogs. Although Roscoe is a favorite, the bathrooms are in the hall (although they are private). The hotel may not be for everyone, but it’s in a great location within walking distance of the city center. The owner is very friendly and recommends pet friendly restaurants and things to do in Burlington.
Located between Killington and Rutland in central Vermont, Mountain Top Resort not only doesn’t allow dogs, they put dogs first. In accordance with their pet policy, canine companions are welcome in the resort’s four luxury villas and a selection of guesthouses with Vermont-made grills, dog beds and bowls. You can book up to two dogs per unit for an additional $50 per dog per night. Dogs must be registered at the time of booking.

This warm and welcoming home is built with raw wood beams and beautiful views of the mountains. This is a true alpine escape, feeling relaxed and comfortable. The world seems to be changing everywhere, but Stowehof remains a familiar place to call home away from home.
With simple but clean rooms, this is one of the cheapest hotels in Stowe. Breakfast leaves something to be desired, so go elsewhere for breakfast. Instead grab a drink from the Fritz Bar and sit in a cozy spot with your child. Choose between playing a board game in the large den in the living room, reading a good book in front of the large sunken fireplace, or gazing at the stars by the roaring fire outside.
